Mylapore, Chennai

Mylapore, Chennai

I hardly ever go for photowalks when I'm in Chennai. For that matter, it's been a while since I went on a proper photowalk anywhere! To remedy this, we went to Mylapore in Chennai early in the morning on Sunday. It was a special walk because for the first time ever, my sister claimed to be interested in taking pictures, came along with us, and actually asked for a photography lesson! I really like Mylapore - I think every city's charm is in its old city :)

    1. Pree - I think this is not the main entrance - the main one is apparently bigger, but we didn't go that side!

  2. I completely agree with what you say that every city's charm is in its old city; for instance, I have most enjoyed photographing the gullies and sights of old Jodhpur:)

Beautiful shots...especially liked the one of the green door - I am partial to taking pictures of doors myself!

    1. Thank you Priyanka! The old parts of cities totally rock - the new parts of all cities look alike!

  7. im almost tempted to say i envy your travel pics :) but honestly when i speak with some folks here and they show so much interest in traveling to India - i end up telling them how little i've really seen and how they must make that trip - theres just so much to explore!

    1. Anu - so true, there is so much to see in India, it will take more than a lifetime. And trust me, I don't travel nearly as much as I'd like to - I just went to Mylapore because I happened to be in Chennai :) I am very enthusiastic about planning trips, but very lazy when it comes to actually making bookings and concrete plans!
